Are messages to parents sent over WhatsApp or Telegram?

Down a channel ladder, tried in order per message. The first rung is official WhatsApp (WABA), used when your school switches it on and the message type has a matching template. Otherwise the message drops to Telegram — free, as long as the recipient has linked the Klasku bot. Below that sits an unofficial WhatsApp vendor as a backup, and SMS, which only runs when a school opens it with our team; that channel is currently off.

Bulk announcements always go over Telegram, never over official WhatsApp: their category is marketing, and that is not what the official route is for. If every channel fails, the system retries a few times before marking the message failed.

Klasku messaging is permanently one-way. Parent replies do not come back into Klasku — the conversation stays on your school's WhatsApp number — and each message's status is only sent or failed.
