Do I need my own WhatsApp Business API?

No. The official WhatsApp route is provided by Klasku and switched on per school; using it draws on the school's Notification Credit balance, counted when a message actually arrives. A school that has not switched it on can still send every message type — the route simply drops to Telegram.

The official route is only used for message types with a matching template in the catalog, because that is how official WhatsApp works: free-form messages without a template cannot pass through it. Template states and per-category rates are maintained by our team outside the product, so this page does not promise numbers.
